Heineken celebrated the return of Formula 1 to the Netherlands, enlisting Dutch superstar DJ TIËSTO to perform an exclusive 60-minute live set immediately after the Heineken Dutch Grand Prix podium celebrations on Sunday 5th September.

As well as those inside the grandstands at Zandvoort racetrack, fans at home tuned into a live stream of the performance featured on EDM streaming service Beatport, F1, and Red Bull Racing Honda Facebook channels as well as TIËSTO’s own Facebook and YouTube pages.

The stage for the performance was built onto the back of a Heineken 0.0 truck which started its journey from the pit lane straight after the podium ceremony – where Dutch driver Max Verstappen was crowned as the winner – and moved around the track, powered by sustainable biofuel, before stopping at turns 11 and 12 for TIËSTO to finish the performance.

A South American World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina was abandoned just after kick-off on Sunday night when Brazilian officials came out to stop the game.

The country’s health officials allege that three Argentinian players on the pitch – and a further member of the squad – broke quarantine rules upon arrival into the country and were therefore ineligible to play.

Brazil’s health authorities had previously said four of Argentina’s English-based Premier League players Argentina had to quarantine upon arrival in the country.
