Industry Shorts: Premier League, Lpga Tour
The Premier League and its 20 clubs are backing LGBT rights charity Stonewall and its 2019 Rainbow Laces campaign.
As part of the league’s three-year partnership with the charity, all 20 of the league’s fixtures held from Tuesday 3rd – Monday 9th December will feature rainbow coloured flags, ball plinths and handshake boards. Rainbow laces and captains armbands will also be available to players.
The Ladies European Tour (LET) has agreed a joint-venture with the LPGA Tour in a bid to grow women’s golf.
The venture will be jointly managed by both organisations and will aim to increase prize money for participants as well as a fast-track pathway to the LPGA Tour for LET’s top players.
The LET’s Order of Merit will be renamed the Race to Costa del Sol and will feature an increased prize pot from 2020.
UFC has confirmed its return to London in 2020 with an event at The O2.
Following a sell-out UFC FIGHT NIGHT LONDON event in 2019, the 2020 event is scheduled for 21st March, while tickets will go on sale from Friday 31st January.
