US private equity firm RedBird Capital has acquired a controlling stake in French football club Toulouse.
RedBird, founded by Gerry Cardinale, has taken an 85% stake in the club from former owner Olivier Sadran, who will keep the remaining 25% and will also remain on the Board of Directors.
The side was relegated to Ligue 2 following the curtailment of the French football season.
The LTA has confirmed that, for the third year running, it has been awarded the highest possible rating for its safeguarding by the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU).

Canterbury and the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) have today announced the renewal of their Official Kit partnership for a further four years.
The new agreement sees Canterbury continue to provide kits and training wear for Irish Rugby’s senior men’s and women’s teams as well as Under 20 sides and Sevens teams until 2024.
As part of their commitment to get more people involved in rugby, Canterbury is also supporting the development of the women’s game through its new sponsorship of ‘Canterbury Give it a Try’; an IRFU grassroots initiative for girls designed to provide a safe environment for participation in the sport.
Newcastle United and Official Shirt Sponsor FUN88 have extended their deal which will see the betting brand remain as the club’s Primary Partner.
As part of the new ‘long-term’ agreement, FUN88, whose logo has appeared on the club’s matchday kit since 2017, will continue to feature on players’ shirts and training wear.
Ram Rugby has appointed Mike Pells as its new Sales Director. Pells joins the equipment and teamwear supplier to rugby and cricket clubs after three years at Samurai Sportswear.
