The Ryder Cup has partnered with indoor golf and entertainment platform aboutGolf (aG), which will become the competition’s Official Golf Simulator.

The multi-year partnership will allow fans to virtually play venues that have hosted the Ryder Cup, using aG’s cloud-powered data platform, which captures and analyses every shot.

UEFA says it has met with its member associations to discuss the return of fans to games this autumn, though it has ruled out having spectators in attendance at Nations League games in early September.

The governing body for football in Europe says it is undertaking an ongoing consultation process to bring fans back into grounds and has suggested that a pilot scheme for a limited number of fans at UEFA-organised matches could be held during the UEFA Super Cup, which will take place in Budapest on 24th September.

That game will see the winners of the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain take on the Europa League champions, either Inter Milan or Sevilla.

British Athletics has named Sara Symington as Performance Director.

As a cyclist, Symington competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games and has since held performance-related roles with England Netball and Archery GB.

In her new role, she will lead a single performance and talent system within the UK and will also be part of the team who searches for a new Olympic Head Coach.

Special Olympics Great Britain has announced that Vijita Patel and Kiera Byland have joined its Board of Trustees.

Patel is the Principal and a National Leader of Education of Swiss Cottage School, Development and Research Centre, a special needs school in the London Borough of Camden. Byland, meanwhile, is a Special Olympian and athlete leader who has represented Great Britain as a cyclist on two occasions, winning three Gold medals in Los Angeles in 2015 and a further three Gold medals in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
