Olympian and double diving world champion Tom Daley has launched a new Blue Peter Badge competition, giving viewers the chance to design the show’s 2020 Sport Badge.

The design, focusing on the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, will be open to children aged 6-15 and will be distributed to each Team GB and ParalympicsGB athlete who travels to Tokyo to take part in the Games.

The competition is in conjunction with the BOA and the BPA and the winner’s message will be made into a video shared on the BOA, BPA and BBC digital platforms. The winner will be revealed on Blue Peter on 16th April, 100 days out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. 


The W Series has revealed details of FIA Super Licence points which will be awarded during its 2020 championship.

The all-female single-seater championship debuted in 2019, but confirmed that it will award drivers Super Licence points during the second season. The championship winner will receive 15 points, with 12 up for grabs for the second-placed finisher. 

Catherine Bond Muir, CEO, W Series, says the move will add to the importance of the W Series and ensure it can act as a ‘feeder’ series for female drivers to climb the ladder and race in more senior championships.


The RFU has announced a five-year partnership with watch manufacturer Bremont, which will become the Official Timekeeper to England Rugby.

As part of the partnership, Bremont will deliver all of Twickenham Stadium’s official time-related matchday content, including branded clocks around the stadium.

The brand will also produce a series of special edition mechanical watches for both fans and players, the first of which will be launched in time for the start of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations Championship.


Wigan Warriors has announced a new partnership with energy consultancy Utility Alliance for the upcoming 2020 BETFRED Super League Season.

The partnership, facilitated by sponsorship marketplace Connexi, will see Utility Alliance positioned as the club’s new Official Energy Partner, and will focus on improving energy efficiency at the club in order to reduce usage and Costs.

The consultancy will also work with the club and its commercial network as well as local businesses to deliver mutually beneficial relationships which will add value to the whole community.


McLaren Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with FAI Aviation Group.

The deal will see the aircraft solutions company’s branding placed on the inside of the rear wing endplate of the McLaren car during the 2020 Formula 1 season.
