The UK Pro League has announced performance nutrition brand Veloforte as its Official Nutrition Partner, supplying a range of energy bars and products to players on the tour.

The series, founded by River Media in 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on the sport of tennis, begins its second season this week and will run a series of eight week-long events across the year.


UK sportswear brand Castore has appointed media and brand consultancy Johnny Red Media to handle press and media.

Johnny Red Media will focus on product for the brand, which was founded in 2015 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon.

The brand now counts sponsorship deals with a host of athletes including Andy Murray, Owen Farrell, Adam Peaty and Gary Neville, as well as teams and federations including Scottish Premierships leaders Rangers and Cricket West Indies


Jake Humphrey has partnered with publisher GiveMeSport, which will become the exclusive sports distribution partner for his High Performance Podcast

The partnership sees GiveMeSport – which was acquired by Snack Media in 2020 – gain full access to video clips and other approved content derived from the podcast in order to syndicate it across video, social and editorial. The podcast will also have its own section on the GiveMeSport website.


Charity Made By Sport has announced a new partnership with Flutter Entertainment’s Cash4Clubs scheme which will see a new fund launched to help clubs recover from the coronavirus lockdown. 

The fund will open to coincide with the opening up of grassroots sport towards the end of March and will award grants of £2021 to thousands of clubs that are in need of support. 

In total, Flutter will donate some £4.79 million to the scheme, which it says is the amount it benefitted from as a result of business rates relief, which was put in place from March 2020 to March 2021 for its shops in England.  


Tommy’s, the organisers of the London Landmarks Half Marathon, have announced that the 2021 edition of the event has been moved to Sunday 1st August.

The 2021 race was originally scheduled for May, however, Tommy’s says that a decision was made to move the date following the government’s announcement of a roadmap for lifting national lockdown restrictions.
