British Cycling has announced the postponement of the 2021 HSBC UK | National Track Championships and HSBC UK | National Cyclo-Cross Championships.

The body says the move is in response to the introduction of new restrictions across Britain, which limit access to training venues and the ability to travel. It says that, because the ‘current likelihood’ is that the measures will continue into the new year, it is not possible to organise the events for their traditional slots within the year.

Meanwhile, the dates for the 24 races which will make up the provisional 2021 HSBC UK | National Road Series and HSBC UK | National Circuit Series have been announced.

Both the men’s and women’s calendars will begin with the Klondike Grand Prix, on Sunday 18th April, while both rounds of the HSBC UK | National Circuit Series will begin in Otley on Wednesday 30 June.
