Newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion have partnered with StreamAMG to power the club’s WBA TV OTT service ahead of their return to the Premier League.

The club will use StreamAMG’s core online video platform MediaPlatform for live streams and on-demand content, as well as its CloudMatrix content distribution system.

West Brom will also make use of the live video and OTT company’s CloudPay platform which will offer the future ability to handle payments via Stripe and PayPal, as well as manage users and subscribers.


UEFA has enlisted Clarence Seedorf as well as a host of its partners in multiple territories to create its Hospitality at Home competition for this weekend’s Champions League final.

Despite the fact that the Champions League is taking place behind closed doors in Portugal because of coronavirus restrictions, UEFA has brought together its sponsors Heineken, Pepsi, PlayStation and EA Sports, who will support the campaign by offering exclusive prizes including a state-of-the-art home entertainment system with 60″ screen and sound system for the competition’s fans. 

UEFA’s broadcast partners, including BT Sport in the UK, will also offer one-year subscriptions to the competition winners.


Marketing and communications agency Freeride, which specialises in cycling and endurance sports, has appointed Tom Foy as Partner.

Foy joins the agency having held senior positions at agencies including Weber Shandwick, Edelman and WPP, having worked with luxury and entertainment brands, such as Aston Martin, Red Bull and Microsoft.


The Friedkin Group has finalised its takeover of Serie A football club Roma.

The agreement was initially announced earlier in August, with Houston-based Dan Friedkin agreeing to take over as majority owner from fellow American James Palotta in adeal worth €591 million (£449 million).


Rugby clothing and kit provider Canterbury has launched a new online teamwear kit building platform for personalised kits.

Build The Team will allow local clubs and schools to design their own kit straight from the Canterbury website. As part of the development, the brand says its Kori jersey can be designed and delivered from concept to clubhouse in four weeks.


Player trading and fantasy football platform Footstock has signed ex-footballer and Sky Sports broadcaster Chris Kamara as a brand ambassador.

Kamara will front the brand for the 2020/21 season, voicing Footstock’s upcoming national radio advertising debut on talkSPORT and sharing exclusive content and his own Footstock recommendations on his social media platforms.
