The Women in Sport charity has been awarded £100k of funding to support more women going through menopause to access the benefits of sport.
The programme, funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery through the Postcode Sport Trust, will follow a group of women who are currently inactive and going through menopause with the aim of developing an understanding of their lives, values and motivations
The funding will also support Women in Sport in growing its work more widely
Paralympic, World and Commonwealth swimming champion Alice Tai has joined marketing and athlete management agency The Sports Sphere.
Tai, who competes in the S8 Freestyle, S8 Butterfly and S8 Backstroke events, won Paralympic gold and bronze medals at the age of just 17 at the Paralympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016, and supplemented that with six gold medals across six different disciplines at the 2019 World Championships in London.
She joins The Sports Sphere’s current roster of Paralympic champions including Jonnie Peacock, David Weir, Alfie Hewitt and Olympians Ed Clancy, Jack Laugher, Vicky Holland and fellow swimmer Freya Anderson.
FIFA and the Danish Football Association (DBU), have confirmed that Denmark will host the 2020 FIFA eNations Cup.
The international team esports competition will take place from 22nd – 24th May, which will see players compete in teams of two throughout the tournament.
Copenhagen will play host to the event, which will see 24 of the world’s top EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Nations compete for a total prize pool of $100,000.
