The World Rally Championship (WRC) has collaborated with Motorsport Network to launch a dedicated Motorsport.tv channel.

Launching onto Motorsport Network’s OTT platform, the championship will deliver news updates and highlights videos to fans on the new offering.

The platform will bring ‘fresh insights’ on the championship’s most popular events, such as Rally Monte-Carlo, Safari Rally Kenya and Rally Japan and aims to grow WRC’s global reach, particularly among younger fans. 

Motorsport Network’s Director of Digital Strategy, Jess McFadyen, has been announced as a Sport Industry NextGen Leader for 2021.


Nike has announced a new partnership with iCoachKids – a not-for-profit global movement led by Leeds Beckett University and the International Council for Coaching Excellence.

The partnership will aim to create best-in-class digital resources for youth coaches, as well as an online community where coaches can exchange knowledge and ideas with peers. The collaboration also includes the redesign of the iCoachKids website, which is expected to launch in early 2021.

The partnership will focus on improving the quality of coaching by championing play and sport environments that are fun, safe and inclusive.


UEFA has launched a new six-part women’s football podcast as part of its Together #WePlayStrong campaign.

The series, hosted by Wolfsburg and Netherlands international Shanice van de Sanden, and Paris Saint-Germain and Denmark player Nadia Nadim, aims to provide a platform for the game’s most influential players to motivate younger players.

Co-hosted alongside Dutch street football legend Rocky Hehakaija, ‘The Football Podcast’ will see the players chat to guests such as Megan Rapinoe and Pernille Harder to debate common misconceptions in the women’s game as well as discussing their own personal experiences from playing at the top level of women’s football.


Former five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather is to fight YouTuber Logan Paul in a ‘special exhibition’ in February 2021.

The news comes after Paul previously fought a professional fight against fellow YouTuber KSI, in a bout which was broadcast live on global OTT platform DAZN. It also follows Mayweather’s last match, which was also against an unconventional opponent – former two-weight UFC world champion Conor McGregor.
