The WTA has announced FanDuel as its first Authorised Gaming Operator in the Americas.
The WTA will grant FanDuel access to its trademarks and FanDuel will also use WTA Tour’s official scoring data from Stats Perform, which was announced as the Official Data Supplier of the WTA, which is delivered in partnership with Sportradar.
The deal marks the first time a women’s sports league will have video highlights throughout FanDuel’s digital platforms and sportsbooks.
ASICS EMEA has reported a consolidated net revenue increase of 44% across all distribution channels year to date (YTD) versus the same period last year.
The brand also says its operating income has increased ‘significantly’ to €70.5 million (£60.2 million) YTD.
ASICS also reported 52% year-on-year growth in wholesale channels across EMEA for the YTD ending June 2021, with its revenue in wholesale channels increasing 50% year-on-year in the UK.
Afghanistan will be absent from the Paralympic Games due to the crisis in the country.
The country’s delegation, including its two Paralympic athletes were due to arrive in Tokyo on Tuesday, but were not able to take their flight. Commercial flight prices soared in recent weeks owing to the insurgency of the Taliban in the country, with transport now not possible.
Zakia Khudadadi – a Taekwondo athlete who was reportedly due to become the country’s first female Paralympian – and track athlete Hossain Rasouli were both set to compete for their country at the Games, which begin on 24th August.
