International Sports Management (ISM), the Cheshire-based agency run by
Andrew ‘Chubby’ Chandler, has secured a multi-million pound investment
boost in a bid to develop new events and grow in the United States.
ISM has attracted funding from Leonard Ryan and Mickey O’Rourke, founders of the broadcaster Setanta, their business partner Mark O’Meara and Shane McMahon, son of World Wrestling Entertainment chairman Vincent McMahon.
ISM acts for cricketers Andrew Flintoff, Muttiah Muralitharan and Steve Harmison, along with golfers Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Ernie Els.
Chandler, a former golf professional who set up the business in 1989, is also reportedly interested in
setting up a shorter golfing format that mirrors cricket’s Twenty20 competition.
