Sports compression brand Isobar has completed new deals with British Cycling and the INEOS Britannia America’s Cup team.

Both deals have been announced ahead of landmark competitions for the teams – over 60 Olympic and Paralympic riders will compete at Paris 2024 next month and the 37th America’s Cup gets underway on 22nd August in Barcelona.

In both instances the Manchester-based brand will provide its compression equipment to athletes in order to aid their performance and recovery.

Isobar is already a partner of the  INEOS Grenadiers Cycling Team, British Swimming, The Royal Ballet, Sale Sharks, the English Institute of Sport and, according in a statement on the INEOS Britannia website, partnerships with ‘top-flight Premier League’ clubs are also ‘on the horizon’.

Darren Henry, Chief Commercial Officer at British Cycling, said, “It’s fantastic to have ISOBAR an industry-leader and Manchester – based business, close to the home of British Cycling, join our family of commercial partners, supporting our Olympic and Paralympic riders as they deliver for world-class performances.”

Dr Pete Cunningham, Head of Human Performance at INEOS Britannia, said, “I am delighted that Isobar are supporting us on our journey as we prepare for competition. Having their cutting-edge compression products available for the team will be vital in supporting the cyclors during competition

“During the pre-start period, our team must perform multiple high-intensity anaerobic efforts when the boats are jockeying for position. The front-loaded race demands include both threshold and sub-threshold efforts during straight-line sailing interspersed with high-intensity anaerobic bursts while manoeuvring. The fact the team will have the best custom compression garments that support them to perform at their best can play a pivotal role in our success.

“I look forward to working with Isobar in the build up to and during competition.”
