Isokinetic Launches UK Fifa Medical Centre

The Isokinetic Medical Group, a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, has officially launched its brand new Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation centre to members of the public.

Opened at an official launch evening on Tuesday 11th November, the centre spans over 10,000 square feet with innovative new methods for managing sports injuries.

After forming a base in the UK around the corner, the new home of Isokinetic London will bring the latest advances in sports medicine and rehabilitation to Harley Street, an area renowned as a beacon of medical excellence since the nineteenth century.

The historical Georgian style building features three floors of rehabilitation spaces that include; three specific treatment, testing and recovery gyms, a multi depth 50 square metre aqua therapy pool, an indoor 3G field equipped with a camera system and light reaction technology for movement analysis.

11 Harley Street is also home to some of the leading practitioners in the field of sports and physical medicine, including Dr Phil Batty who previously held the position of Senior Team Doctor for the English Rugby Football Union and has formerly worked with Manchester City Football Club when the team won the Premier League title.

Isokinetic was founded 27 years ago in Italy and treats over 10,000 patients per year across its seven Italian centres and famously rehabilitated Italian legend Roberto Baggio ahead of the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

The launch was also attended by Chelsea and Italy legend Gianluca Vialli and President of Isokinetic, Dr Stefano Della Villa.
