The Magners League is set to be expanded from 10 to 12 teams from the start of next season as two Italian clubs have agreed to join the competition.
Italian sides Treviso and Viadana have been given a four-year licence into the revamped League.
The current teams initially feared that they might have lost out financially with the admission of the Italians, but the Celtic board has assured the two Scottish, four Welsh and four Irish clubs that financial guarantees are in place.
There had been a doubt surrounding the participation of Scottish teams Edinburgh in the Magners League a supposed disagreement with their Welsh and Irish counterparts over a proposal to include the Italian teams.
But that issue has been resolved and the Italian teams are set to join the League for the 2010-11 season.
