ITV Secures Carl Frampton Rights

ITV has secured the live rights to Carl Frampton’s IBF World Super Bantamweight Title defence against Alejandro Gonzalez Jr on 18th July.

As a result, the fight between Frampton, from Belfast, and Mexican Gonzalez Jr will be shown exclusively on ITV in the UK and on ITV-owned UTV in Northern Ireland.

The deal was brokered by Frampton’s promotional representatives Cyclone Promotions.

The Frampton v Gonzalez Jr bout takes place in El Paso, Texas at the Don Haskins Centre.

The fight will be the main event on CBS in the US as part of its Premier Boxing Champions series.
