Jack Wolfskin is set to increase its sponsorship in the Barclays Premier League from next season, starting with the extension of its current contract with Liverpool FC by three years – with two-year contracts to be signed with six other top flight clubs.

In addition to extending its contract with Liverpool FC, whose 241 million followers worldwide have helped boost sales, the German outdoor clothing outfitter will work with Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion and Fulham FC as official Outdoor Equipment Partner, as well as having LED advertising at West Ham United, Swansea City, Norwich City and Aston Villa from August 2013.

Elke Stein, chief marketing officer at Jack Wolfskin, said: ‘The past year has shown how our investments have really paid off for the brand. We were able to significantly raise our profile, and the expansion of our sponsorship activities, particularly around Barclays Premier League football, will undoubtedly reinforce and promote this development.’

‘The Barclays Premier League is broadcast across the globe reaching 650 million households. This is why sponsorship and advertising with key high profile clubs is so important to us. Matches are broadcast in important markets for Jack Wolfskin including China and Russia, which only helps to raise the profile of the brand worldwide.’

Jack Wolfskin first sponsored Fulham in 2010 following the club’s impressive inaugural UEFA Europa League campaign which saw the London side reach the final in Hamburg.

Fulham FC chief executive, Alistair Mackintosh, added: ‘The club has developed an excellent working relationship with Jack Wolfskin over the past few years.’

‘Barclays Premier League matches are broadcast live in over 200 countries worldwide and I’m delighted that over the next two seasons with Fulham FC, Jack Wolfskin will continue to raise the profile of its brand both in the UK and globally.’
