Jaguar Land Rover will continue as official vehicle partner to the BT Sport Industry Awards 2017. The partnership will see Britain’s biggest car manufacturer provide transport for a selection of business leaders and top sporting stars to Battersea Evolution on Thursday 27th April.

Jaguar Land Rover has a long heritage in sport spreading through from grassroots to the elite level, currently supporting rugby festivals for under-11 and under-12 teams. Land Rover has engaged nearly 68,000 youngsters with rugby in the UK through the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, with graduates going on to play in Premiership Rugby competitions, as well as representing the England Under-20 World Cup winning team and England Under-18s.

At the elite end, Land Rover will provide a range of vehicles for the upcoming British & Irish Lions tour in New Zealand and pre-tour in the UK and Ireland. The partnership – covering a sixth successive tour – will see Land Rover become a principle partner to The British & Irish Lions, building on a relationship that started in 1997.

In July 2015, Land Rover also announced it would become both title and exclusive innovation partner to Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR). This summer Sir Ben Ainslie and his team at Land Rover BAR, will compete for the oldest sporting trophy in the World at the 35th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup in Bermuda.

Jaguar returned to motorsport in the FIA Formula E electric street racing series in October 2016 as Panasonic Jaguar Racing with drivers Adam Carroll and Mitch Evans.

Jaguar’s Formula E programme will create tangible research and development benefits for the electrification of future Jaguar Land Rover road cars and is designed around the team’s founding principle, ‘Race to Innovate’.

Mark Cameron, global experiential marketing director, Jaguar Land Rover, said: “Last year gave us a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the amazing work within the sector and we are looking forward to continuing this relationship with the BT Sport Industry Awards again this year. As Official Vehicle Partner we will ensure the select VIPs and celebrities arrive to the night in style.”

Nick Keller, chairman, Sport Industry Group, added: “As a brand with such history and tradition in the sports market, Jaguar Land Rover is a natural fit with the BT Sport Industry Awards, helping add to the prestigious nature of the whole event.”

The BT Sport Industry Awards is the industry’s most anticipated night of the year and welcomes key players from the sport industry and celebrities.
