Arena Group has appointed James Anderson as commercial director for its UK and Europe division.
Arena Group’s overlay division has worked on major events including the London 2012 Olympics, 2014 FIFA World Cup, Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and has been awarded contracts for 2015 Rugby World Cup venues and 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Anderson joins from GL Events, where he held a similar role for four years, working on contracts such as Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island and the Formula One British Grand Prix.
In his new role with the international temporary event infrastructure supplier, Anderson will be the strategic lead on all one-off major events internationally.
