Vitality has launched its latest marketing campaign, with keen parkrunners and amateur rugby players teaming up with Vitality ambassadors Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jonny Wilkinson, Maro Itoje, Joe Root and Ellie Simmonds.

As part of the launch, the health and life insurer invited a group of parkrunners and players from Sevenoaks RFC to be extras in its new TV idents, which consist of five and ten second clips that will be shown across Sky News sports bulletins from Friday 1st June.

parkrun, in partnership with Vitality, supports local communities in organising free, weekly 5km timed runs every Saturday morning at parks across the UK.

The extras jogged and stretched with Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, honed their rugby skills with Jonny Wilkinson and Maro Itoje, developed their cricket skills with Joe Root and practiced swimming with Ellie Simmonds.

Keith Kropman, director of marketing and HR at Vitality, said: “Partnerships like our collaboration with parkrun are important to us because they demonstrate how people can change their everyday behaviour and take regular small steps to a healthier life.

“We wanted to communicate this message through our advertising in a fun way that directly engages and involves our audience, and including parkrunners and amateur rugby players in our latest campaign was the perfect way to do this.”

Vitality first teamed up with parkrun after partnering with the community in February last year.
