Jockey Club Racecourses (JCR), the UK’s largest racecourse group, has appointed Nadine Mansfield as Regional Head of Marketing in its North West region, which consists of Aintree, Haydock Park and Carlisle racecourses. She joins JCR on 18th March 2013 from Manchester United FC, where she is currently Venue Marketing Manager.
In her new role, based at Haydock Park but overseeing all JCR’s marketing across the north west, Mansfield will be responsible for delivering the marketing strategies and campaigns for the region’s racing, as well as conference and events business, whilst developing customer experiences across the region. Major events that Jockey Club Racecourses stages in the north west include the John Smith’s Grand National Meeting at Aintree, the Betfair Chase Meeting and the Betfred Sprint Cup Festival at Haydock Park and the Bell & Plate Day at Carlisle.
With 16 years commercial marketing and sales experience, Mansfield has previously been Head of Airline Marketing at Manchester Airport, Marketing Director at Key 103 radio station, Commercial Marketing Manager at BSkyB and held a series of marketing and sales roles at British Airways, culminating as Regional Marketing Manager.
John Baker, North West regional director for Jockey Club Racecourses, said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Nadine to The Jockey Club family. We’ve got big aspirations here in the north west, so it’s a great time for her to join, just before the running of the 2013 John Smith’s Grand National Meeting. The marketers in her team covering Aintree, Haydock Park and Carlisle will benefit from her fantastic knowledge of the region and the experience she brings to the role. There was a lot of competition for this new role and, as I’m a proud City fan, employing Nadine from United proves just how good we think she is!’
