Jockey Club Racecourses, the UK’s largest racecourse group, has signed a new partnership with animal feed company Connolly’s Red Mills, which will see the Irish firm sponsor 13 National Hunt bumper races, a preparatory category for jump horses, at Jockey Club courses.
Starting this month, the races will be known collectively as the ‘Connolly’s Red Mills Bumper Challenge’.
Connolly’s Red Mills will provide the winning trainer with £2,000 worth of its products.
Paul Fisher, the group managing director of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: ‘Connolly’s Red Mills has supported a number of our racecourses over the years, so I am delighted they have decided to extend their sponsorship across 13 bumper races in this new Bumper Challenge.’
‘This partnership provides another boost to the grassroots of our sport and I’m confident the new initiative will prove a success with owners and trainers.’
Joe Connolly, managing director of Connolly’s Red Mills, added: ‘At all times we endeavour to support the people who support us and this partnership demonstrates our on-going commitment to the industry.’
