Media company JOE has unveiled a new boxing show, ‘TKO‘, hosted by two-weight world champion Carl Frampton and boxing journalist and presenter Chris Lloyd.
The programme is one of a number being launched by JOE in 2019 as it seeks to expand its ‘JOE Presents’ slate of original, long-form and multi-platform productions. Similar football and gaming shows are currently in pre-production.
TKO will run as a weekly series in partnership with 32Red, promising former WBA and IBF world champion Frampton’s insight into the fight game alongside interviews and in-studio analysis.

The first episode in a 40-show series sees Frampton, who also played a starring role in yesterday’s Sport Industry NextGen Unlocked event, speaking about his personal future in and out of the ring.
Each episode will be available on YouTube and all major audio platforms, with show highlights also set to go out on JOE’s social media channels. Live fan events are also planned to take place later in the series.
Commenting on the project, Frampton said: “I have been looking for an ambitious, innovative media outlet to work with as I develop my voice away from the ring, and from the early stages of speaking to JOE it has been a massively exciting process.
“I want to use my knowledge and experience to provide fans with real-world insight and a behind the scenes view of a sport that has so many layers to it, which most people don’t ever get to see. With TKO, that’s about to change.”
“Give me a coin, I’ll flick it right now, and I would take any one of them.”@RealCFrampton says he’s ready to get in the ring with Santa Cruz, Valdes, or any other challenger. https://t.co/BBfsCw5j3s pic.twitter.com/26HqE3drNs

Simon Clancy, Head of Audio at JOE, added: “TKO gives JOE’s audience unparalleled access into the world of boxing. We’re taking fans from the gym to the neutral corner and beyond, analysing fights, talking to boxers and getting fans closer to the action than ever before.
“Few people in the world have as much understanding and real-world experience as Carl. He embodies what it takes to be the best in the world; the dedication, hard work, tears, fears and pain of the fight game. We’re thrilled for him to be the face (and the fist!) of the show.”
“With House of Rugby, Unfiltered and Boys Don’t Cry, we’ve carved a reputation for delivering long-form shows to mass audiences in a way no one else is doing. We’re excited to share our truly unique approach to boxing coverage in the UK.”
