Event Rider Masters (ERM), the newly launched series of eventing, has appointed Jon Wyatt as commercial director.
Wyatt joins ERM having recently left sports marketing agency Fast Track where he served for 13 years, most recently as managing director. In his new role, he will be responsible for building the profile of this new series, increasing its broadcast reach and attracting commercial partners.
Launched in February this year and with the backing of leading event riders including William Fox-Pitt, Sir Mark Todd and Alex Hua Tian, the 2016 will be held in venues across the UK including Chatsworth House, Gatcombe Park and the finale at Blenheim Castle.
ERM CEO Chris Stone said: “We are delighted to welcome Jon to the team as we expand the Series into Europe next year. His experience across multiple sports and understanding of how brands maximise their associations with sports will be invaluable as we innovate to attract new brands into eventing.”
Commenting on his appointment, Jon added: “The opportunity to join a start-up series in the Olympic sport of eventing is incredibly exciting. I’m looking forward to working with the highly knowledgeable and passionate team, to bring sporting, broadcast and fan innovation that enhance the beautiful traditions of the sport.”
