J.p. Morgan Extends Sailing Deals

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has announced it has extended its sponsorships of both Olympic gold medallist Ben Ainslie and the Round the Island Race until 2012.

The company has been Ainslie’s primary sponsor since 2007 and backed his gold medal campaign at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management will also sponsor some new initiatives for the 2010 Round the Island Race, to be held on 19th June, including water taxis and GPS tracking systems.

With over 16,000 sailors and around 1,800 yachts competing, the Race is now the 4th largest participation sporting event in the UK.
