MCC has announced that J.P. Morgan, the global financial services firm, has renewed its sponsorship of Lord’s and its Media Centre.
The three-year sponsorship deal was signed following the completion of a £4m refurbishment of the J.P. Morgan Media Centre.
The partnership, which began in 2011 and will now run through to the end of 2019, delivers a wide-ranging package of rights at Lord’s.
With branding around the ground, sponsorship of the annual MCC Museum Exhibition and extensive hospitality, events and digital rights, J.P. Morgan’s agreement with MCC retains the firm’s position as the largest sponsor in the club’s 230-year history.
MCC and J.P. Morgan also work together on a number of community-based projects, such as a scheme to help secondary school pupils prepare for a career after education.

The J.P. Morgan Media Centre has accommodated international media for all matches at Lord’s since it opened in 1999, the year the building won the Stirling Prize for architecture.
Jon Robinson, MCC’s head of commercial, said: “J.P. Morgan is the most significant commercial sponsor that MCC has ever worked with, and the club is naturally delighted to be renewing our successful association.
“Quite simply, it is an excellent strategic partnership that works very well, and it is fitting the agreement comes at a time when Lord’s prepares to host its first major match of the season.
“With £4m spent on a widespread refurbishment of the J.P. Morgan Media Centre, members of the media and visitors on the Lord’s Tour will get to experience the numerous improvements made to the building over the course of the last two winters.
“MCC’s continual investment in Lord’s is paramount, to ensure the Home of Cricket always provides a world-class experience, as is the running of the Club’s numerous local, national and international community projects; J.P. Morgan’s sponsorship is a significant factor in helping to ensure MCC can invest in both areas.
“We look forward to continuing our work with J.P. Morgan in what promises to be three exciting years ahead.”
Viswas Raghavan, J.P. Morgan’s deputy chief executive officer – Europe, Middle East & Africa, said: “J.P. Morgan is extremely proud to have renewed its sponsorship with the Home of Cricket, and we’re looking forward to our ongoing partnership with this iconic institution over the next few years.
“It is an opportunity and an honour to continue our support of MCC’s cricket-related projects around the world, while increasing our international visibility.”
In addition, J.P. Morgan are powering the Lords.org matchday blog which will run for every international match day at the Home of Cricket, featuring live scores, blog updates and exclusive content.
J.P. Morgan has an option to renew further upon Lord’s being allocated matches in future years.
