Just Eat has appointed sports marketing agency, Dark Horses, to create its first ever FIFA World Cup campaign.
The cross-channel campaign from the online food delivery marketplace will launch in June and aims to get the nation ordering their favourite takeaways as they sit down to watch the tournament.
Ben Carter UK marketing director of Just Eat said: “We’re really excited about this new campaign and the opportunity to get the nation talking about something other than England’s prospects on the pitch.”
Simon Dent, founder of Dark Horses, added: “Just Eat is well known for its entertaining marketing. We’re looking forward to injecting the brand’s humour into the World Cup fever to celebrate the role of the humble takeaway in enjoying the World Cup experience. We can’t wait to kick off the campaign.”
Dark Horses will work with Just Eat on a project-basis whilst its retained agency, Karmarama, is continuing to develop its new Autumn campaign.
Dark Horses was set up in the summer of 2016 and currently works with the likes of Wiggle, Chain Reaction, Southampton FC, Under Armour and Nissan.
