US-based sport asset management group KAM Sports group is reportedly still interested in buying Premier League club Everton.
Current Everton owner, British-Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri, claimed earlier this year that the club was not for sale following initial talks with KAM Sports regarding a takeover.
KAM Sports, owned by the Minneapolis-based Kaminski family, was part of a consortium led by former Manchester United and Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon looking to purchase the Toffees.
However, the BBC is reporting that a source close to the American group claims talks have resumed. According to the Financial Times, the price tag would be around £400m.
The report states that the Kaminski family, that built its wealth in the property market, is now acting alone. If a sale were to be completed KAM Sports would be the latest US owner to enter English football’s top-flight following Todd Boehly’s recent takeover of Chelsea.

When denying the sale earlier in the year, Moshiri did suggest he has not closed the door to a sale completely, explaining that he is “pragmatic to explore all potential investment opportunities.”
Since taking over the club in 2016, Moshiri has invested heavily, and the club is set to move from Goodison Park to a new 53,000-seat stadium in 2024.
However, it has posted losses of £372m over the past three seasons and only narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League in the last campaign.
Everton were also forced to search for fresh financing earlier this year after a number of sponsorship deals were suspended in response to the sanctioning of minority shareholder Alisher Usmanov, a Russian with links to the Vladimir Putin regime.
