Communications and brand strategy expert Kate Bosomworth, who sits on the Board of Sport England, will share her industry experiences at Sport Industry NextGen: A Celebration on 2nd February.
Kate has worked in sports PR for 15 years alongside some of the world’s largest sports brands and events. She founded her own agency in 2003, which she then successfully sold to Speed Communications in 2012, an agency she then took over.
She recently stepped back from the running of the agency to take on a consultancy role advising key clients. Kate has been on the Board of Sport England since 2013 and has been instrumental in the development and ongoing success of Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign.
The celebration evening – designed for the whole industry to learn more about leadership, meet the current and future stars of the sector – kicks off 2017 for Sport Industry NextGen in partnership with Barclays, which identifies tomorrow’s leaders, rewards their potential and nurtures their talent.
Bosomworth joins the likes of Watford captain Troy Deeney, writer and communicator Alastair Campbell, and Commonwealth Games Federation CEO David Grevemberg who will share their leadership journey, consider wider industry traits, and look to the future of the industry.
The evening will also offer attendees the opportunity to hear from previous Sport Industry NextGen Leaders – with Sky Sport’s Yath Gangakumaran and Upshot’s Preeti Shetty reflecting on their journey throughout the Sport Industry NextGen Leadership Package – as well as meeting the 2017 group of Leaders for the first time.
Deeney will then conclude the evening by sharing his insight into the responsibilities of the modern day Premier League captain and lessons he has learned from his past to help mentor youngsters rising through the ranks.
