Kell Brook & Betfair Launch #handofkell
Ahead of unbeaten British welterweight Kell Brook’s fight against Argentine Hector David Saldivia this Saturday, Betfair is encouraging fans to send Brook messages of support via twitter with the most inspirational tweets to be printed onto a limited edition set of gloves. Brook is seeking revenge for Maradona’s famous ‘Hand of God’ in 1986 against England by unleashing the Hand of Kell.
Kell Brook comes into the ‘This Is It’ fight at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on the back of victory over Carson Jones in July.
Brook said of the fight: ‘There’s a strong sporting rivalry between England and Argentina, and I’m going to do my bit to settle an old score. I hope the nation gets behind me this weekend.’
The Betfair appeal, where supporters can use the hashtag #HandOfKell, is the latest in a series of activity intended to promote their support of British Boxing such as Tony Bellew’s London Calling.
Betfair has released a video featuring Kell Brook calling his fans to get behind him.
