Britain’s number one women’s tennis player Anne Keothavong has joined the global sports representation company, Wasserman.
London-born Keothavong became the first British woman in 16 years to break into the top 50 of the WTA world singles rankings earlier this year and has established herself as one of the most improved players on the women’s tour over the last twelve months.
Keothavong has already reached two WTA Tour semi-finals this year in Auckland and Memphis and is currently 52nd in the world WTA rankings, just four spots below her career high ranking of 48, achieved in February this year.
So far in her career she has won a total of 17 International Tennis Federation singles titles and 4 ITF doubles titles.
The signing of Keothavong is the latest tennis addition to Wasserman’s ranks having recently struck a deal with former British men’s player Greg Rusedski to further develop his broadcast career as well as his mentoring role with the LTA.
