Barclays Premier League defender Kolo Toure has signed a new boot deal with Warrior Football that will see the Ivory Coast centre back wear the brand’s latest Skreamer range of football boots.

He joins a stable of players that already includes Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini, Jonás Gutiérrez and Tim Cahill as an ambassador of the American brand, which is also the Official Kit Supplier of Toure’s club, Liverpool FC.

The club – who moved into second in the league on Sunday after demolishing Champions League-chasing Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 at White Hart Lane – entered into a long-term kit deal with the brand last year, reportedly worth in excess of $38 million per season.

Toure said of the deal: ‘I know I’m at the right club to achieve my goals and now I feel I’m with the right sportswear brand to help me fulfill those ambitions. Liverpool Football Club has the right mentality, and during my time here, it’s been easy to see why the club chose Warrior to enter this new era. I’ve chosen to wear Skreamer because it’s a boot that offers both power and accuracy – the perfect match for my game!’

Warrior’s global sports marketing manager Ben Haworth added: ‘We want players who do things the Warrior way, letting their football do the talking and leading by example on the pitch. Kolo epitomises this mentality, every time he crosses the white line he leaves nothing in the changing room and anything less than 100 percent is simply not acceptable. He is a leader, a role model and a true Warrior.’

Toure, whose brother Yaya plays for Manchester City, is one of just five players to have won the Barclays Premier League with two different clubs.
