Kukri Sports Converts New Ownership

UK-based sportswear brand Kukri Sports has been acquired by its Group Executive Chairman, Andrew Ronnie.


The management buyout sees Andrew Ronnie take control from previous majority shareholders, British sports and fashion retailer JD Sports.

Kukri Sports has stated that the change is set to ensure ‘a seamless continuity for the brand’s esteemed partners, while also paving the way for new opportunities and pioneering initiatives in the bespoke sportswear market.’

NatWest bank has provided financial assistance to aid the transition of ownership, with the UK bank also ‘set to support the brand in future endeavours.’

Andrew Ronnie, the new owner of Kukri, said, “Acquiring Kukri Sports is a significant milestone in my journey. Kukri Sports currently boasts Commonwealth Games England, Ulster Rugby and Yorkshire CCC among its roster of clients.
