British number one tennis player Kyle Edmund has signed with PR & social media agency, Soapbox London.

The deal will see the London based agency manage Edmund’s social media and PR strategy alongside Kyle’s agents, StarWing Sports.

Following his performance at the Madrid Open on Wednesday, where he beat 12-time grand slam champion, Novak Djokovic, the 24 year-old tennis player has climbed to a career high 22 in the world and will go into this year’s Wimbledon as British number one. The rise through the ranks has also seen a series of recent high profile endorsement deal announcements including Nike, British Airways and Jaguar.

Edmund joins Soapbox London’s client roster which includes heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, Britain’s most decorated Olympian Sir Bradley Wiggins, Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, Watford captain Troy Deeney, IndyCar driver Max Chilton, ISM’s stable of golfers, Unique Sports Management, Turkish Airlines and Matchroom Boxing.

Managing director and co-founder Rowan Wilkinson said: “Kyle is one of the most exciting young talents in world tennis and we’re hugely excited to be working with him and Lawrence’s team at StarWing Sports in what is promising to be a very significant year in Kyle’s career.”

Lawrence Frankopan, managing director and founder of StarWing Sports said: “We approached Soapbox London for help with what they do best, social media and PR management and we’re super excited to have them onboard. We look forward to working closely alongside them to further support Kyle in all aspects of his career.”
