Bookmakers Ladbrokes has signed up as the latest sponsor for The Celtic Manor Wales Open, the £1.8m European Tour event which runs from June 3rd – 6th.

The London-based bookmaker joins the likes of Zurich, Diageo, BMW, Rolex and Barclays Corporate, in backing the event.

Ladbrokes has signed a 3-year deal worth a six-figure sum and will run on-course betting in the tented village for visitors to next month’s tournament.

Its sponsored boards at The Celtic Manor Wales Open will include the 15th tee, the company will also sponsor a Par-3 Challenge for spectators for a chance to win Ryder Cup tickets.

Spectators will receive a £10 on-line bet from Ladbrokes for their £5 entry fee as well as a £5 voucher to spend on Celtic Manor merchandise in the tented village.

The sponsorship deal also sees Ladbrokes benefit from hospitality places at the tournament, tickets to the pre-tournament gala dinner and tickets for October’s Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.

Played on the same Twenty Ten Course which will host The Ryder Cup in October, The Celtic Manor Wales Open is staged for the 11th time this summer and attracts many of the leading players on The European Tour.
