UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has signed a deal to broadcast new horse racing channel TurfTV in all its 2,200 shops across the country under a new five-year contract.
The deal, believed to be worth around £60million, follows a similar deal with rival Coral two weeks ago.
TurfTV launched its service on Tuesday, showing exclusive pictures from 31 UK racecourses, including Ascot, Goodwood, Newbury and York.
It is a joint venture between the racecourses and technology company Alphameric and was set up to challenge the dominance of Satellite Information Services, which broadcasts from 28 courses such as Chepstow and Ripon, as well as all Irish courses.
More than 6,000 bookmakers now take TurfTV pictures – around three-quarters of the total market.
Two other big betting retail chains, William Hill and BetFred, are expected to sign up to TurfTV by the end of the month.
