Lagardere Sports and Entertainment has announced a new senior leadership team in the wake of its purchase by HIG Europe.
The global sports marketing agency says it has shifted its focus to a ‘dual structure of dedicated market areas and global growth units’ which will be led by a global leadership team. The new framework will be steered by a four-member Executive Committee.
“This structural change builds up on our existing core strengths as a truly global company and enables us to accelerate to full speed in terms of smarter, faster and more efficient decision making,” said Stefan Felsing, CEO, Lagardère Sports & Entertainment.
“It is our ambition to deliver the best value possible towards our clients and partners at all times. We are setting ourselves up for global integration, operational excellence and growth whilst leveraging our specific area and market expertise as a foundation of this new way forward. And above all the defined key responsibilities and dedicated business areas within the global leadership team.”
Alongside CEO Felsing, the Executive Committee will include the group’s COO Philipp Hasenbein, Chief Growth Officer, Robert Müller von Vultejus, and Chief Financial Officer, Christian Peters.
The agency has also announced that its wider organisational structure will be based on its regional needs, with Joel Segal serving as President, Americas; Idriss Akki as President, Africa; Adrian Staiti for the APAC region, and Philipp Hasenbein for Europe.
Within Europe Lagardere says its three key markets, the UK, France and Germany, will be led by Carl Woodman (UK) and Laurent Moretti (France), with a new management team for Germany still to be announced.
