Land Rover Seals Rugby World Cup Deal

Land Rover has bolstered its ties with rugby after agreeing a deal with the International Rugby Board to become an official sponsor of the Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand and Worldwide Partner of the 2015 World Cup in England.

The announcement marks a major development of the British brand’s involvement with the sport and will include significant investment in programmes aimed at developing young rugby talent both at grassroots and World Class levels.

As sponsors of the last three British and Irish Lions tours to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Land Rover is already a long-term investor in UK rugby

.Land Rover are also the official vehicle of England Rugby, Premiership Rugby and initiated the first national grassroots tournament to be officiated by Premiership Rugby.

The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup involves 7,000 children playing 12 Premiership Club festivals across the country every season.
