Lee Gibbons Joins Sport Unlimited As Md

Science-based agency Unlimited, has appointed Lee Gibbons as the Managing Director of its integrated sport offering, Sport Unlimited.

Gibbons, who was most recently Commercial Director at Northampton Saints, will be responsible for driving growth across the sport and entertainment sectors for the science-based agency group as well as increasing the agency’s services and building on its strategic partnership with US-based sponsorship agency Integrity 9, whose clients include the NFL and MLB.

Unlimited has expertise across marketing, communications, insight and digital transformation and blends human understanding with technology to bring brands and people together.

“I’m looking forward to bringing to life the Unlimited competencies to build a holistic sports marketing offering, blending neuroscience, data science and behavioural science, together with traditional insight techniques to truly understand an audience, in this case, the fan. 

“It’s a level of rigour that will ensure our strategic consultancy, activation and measurement really unlock the power of sport helping existing clients and new gain real business advantage.”

Prior to joining Unlimited, Gibbons oversaw significant revenue growth at Northampton Saints across areas such as sponsorship, hospitality and retail. Before that he then spent eight years as Senior Director, adidas, where he was responsible for sports marketing in the UK and Ireland, after leading the brand’s London 2012 Olympic sponsorship.

Gibbons also held roles at IMG Consulting, where he advised clients on activations around the Olympic Games Torino 2006 and Beijing 2008.
