Netball Super League (NSL) team Leeds Rhinos has secured a one-year sponsorship deal with Sky Bet.

Following the NSL’s announcement earlier this week, which confirmed Leeds Rhinos spot in the relaunched league from 2025, Sky Bet will sponsor the club through the first year of the its journey to professionalisation.

Sports betting and gaming operator Sky Bet is part of Flutter UKI, which employs more than 2,000 people at its offices in West Yorkshire.

Steve Birch, CCO, Sky Betting and Gaming, announced on LinkedIn, ‘Exciting news from Sky Bet and Flutter Entertainment Plc as we embark on a sponsorship journey with the Leeds Rhinos Women’s Netball team for the next 12 months!

Starting at Leeds Beckett University and now competing in the Netball Super League, the team is on a remarkable trajectory in the UK’s domestic league. Our sponsorship coincides with a significant growth phase for the sport, with over 3 million active players annually and a massive TV audience of nearly 6 million tuning in to the Netball World Cup.

Through this partnership, we’re dedicated to supporting the team’s ambition to rise as one of the premier professional women’s teams in netball.’’

Ben Turnbull, Commercial Sales Manager, Leeds Rhinos, added, “Sky Bet’s support for Leeds Rhinos Netball is a huge boost for the team and sport in the region.

“Like many other sports, commercial investment is vital for netball. Sky Bet will help raise the profile of the Rhinos franchise and netball in Leeds. Our local ties will also allow Sky Bet and Flutter UKI employees to enjoy Rhinos games and engage with community activities.”

Leeds Rhinos face Cardiff Dragons this Saturday for their penultimate game of the season, after missing out on the fourth spot of the semi- finals.
