Insurance specialist Legal & General has launched a new sport-based wellbeing awards as part of its ongoing commitment to improving mental health awareness in the workplace.
The inaugural ‘Not A Red Card’ awards will celebrate organisations and individuals that have developed and implemented best practices in addressing mental health at work.
Entries are now being accepted for the awards, which will be presented at a special ceremony to be held in conjunction with the Not A Red Card forum in late October.
The five award categories are open to businesses of all sizes. Entries will close on 3rd August with a shortlist to be announced on 21st September.
The event represents the next step in Legal & General’s sport-led campaign, which aims to use sporting messages, values and talent to help employees and employers understand the support available to address mental health issues.
The #NotARedCard campaign, developed in conjunction with thinkBeyond, has been running since 2017, based on the premise that discussing mental health is never a red card offence.
