Leicester City has extended its partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand for a third season, with the authority’s ‘Amazing Thailand’ slogan – which previously featured on the back of the Foxes’ playing shirts – will now be displayed on the dugouts at the club’s King Power Stadium.
Further activation of the partnership will see Leicester players kick ‘Amazing Thailand’ branded footballs into the home crowd following the pre-match warm-up at City’s next ten home games.
As part of the renewal the authority remains a platinum partner of the club and also becomes their official tourism partner.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand first partnered Leicester at the start of the 2012/13 season, two years after the club was taken over by Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the owners of Thai travel retail group, King Power International.
Susan Whelan, CEO at the club, said: ‘We’re absolutely thrilled to continue to work with the Tourism Authority of Thailand during the 2014/15 season.’
‘Their support in the last two years has been vital in helping us promote Leicester City to a Thai audience and in reaching our goals closer to home.’
Leicester currently sit bottom of the Premier League table after losing 3-2 to fellow strugglers QPR at the weekend.
