Breedon Aggregates and speedway team Leicester Lions have agreed a new team sponsorship deal, and will officially be named the Breedon Aggregates Lions, when the team returns to speedway after a near 28-year absence from the sport.

Lions promoter David Hemsley said: “We have been working closely with Breedon Aggregates over a number of weeks in connection with supplying material for the track at Beamont Park and during this time we have formed a good working relationship’.

Breedon Aggregates has already supplied material to nine British clubs as well as Speedway Grand Prix stadiums at Cardiff, Gothenburg and Copenhagen.

Hemsley added: ‘I have been impressed with how they are conducting a new business that is in the early stages of its evolvement and I can see that our core values are beginning to mirror the way Breedon Aggregates operate’.

The Leicester Lions will return to Speedway on Saturday 2nd April, when the team takes on Sheffield Tigers at Beamont Park – with the Lions starting the Premier League season against Scunthorpe Scorpions the following weekend.
