Leinster Rugby has confirmed a three-year sponsorship deal with wine company Wolf Blass, who becomes the official wine partner of the Irish rugby union side from the start of the 2013/14 season.

Wolf Blass joins the side that won the Amlin Cup, the secondary European club rugby competition, in 2012/13, but will begin in the Heineken Cup again this year.

The deal, for which financial terms were not released, sees the Australian wine brand expand its presence in rugby.

Michael Foley, marketing director of Wolf Blass owners Findlater Wine & Spirit Group, said: ‘We are very excited to form a partnership with Leinster Rugby.’

‘Their dedicated approach and pursuit of excellence effectively mirrors the philosophy of quality wine making at Wolf Blass. Our team very much look forward to developing the relationship for many years to come.’

Keira Kennedy, the Leinster Rugby commercial manager, added: ‘Wolf Blass have a long association in Irish rugby and we are proud to continue that tradition and we look forward to a fruitful partnership for the seasons to come.’
