Computer brand Lenovo is the latest firm to strike a sponsorship deal in F1
after agreeing a contract with the Williams F1 team ahead of the start of the
new season.
As well as receiving branding on the Williams F1 cars and drivers’ outfits,
Lenovo will also showcase its technology through the team ranging on functions
from ignition checks to race operations and inventory.
Lenovo is the latest in a string of technology brands to sign up to F1 as the
teams look to replace the now departed tobacco sponsors.
Lenovo will sit as a second-tier sponsor for Williams below title backer
AT&T for whom the 2007 season is also the first year of their involvement.
Lenovo is also a top-tier sponsor of the Olympics through its TOP partnership
with the International Olympic Committee.
