lift The Lid F1 Podcast Launches
Formula 1 legend and three-time Formula 1 race winner Johnny Herbert and driver and Formula 1 broadcaster Billy Monger have launched a new podcast – Lift The Lid.
The pair have come together due to their shared love for Formula 1 and joint experience of life-changing crashes and aim to provide ‘a unique drivers-eye-view on all the hottest topics and gossip from up and down the F1 grid each week.’
Billy and Johnny’s friendship began in 2017 when Johnny was an early visitor to Billy in hospital after his near life-ending crash at Donnington Park. From that moment on the pair became firm friends and Billy cites Johnny’s support and encouragement as an inspiration in his recovery, Johnny having gone through a near fatal crash at Brands Hatch in 1988.

The brand new series will see two regular weekly shows, the first being an up to the minute F1 current affairs show, combining Johnny’s F1 driving experience and Billy’s knowledge of the current grid. The second being a fan led forum, encouraging petrol heads from all over the world to get in touch and share their questions and passion for the sport.
