A sleek new website and app bring basketball closer than ever, blending innovation, interactivity, and personalisation to transform how fans connect with the game.
French basketball fans have a new way to connect with the game, as Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB) teams up with digital innovation partner Yellow Panther, with project and consultancy support from La Source, to launch a newly designed website and mobile app. This major upgrade delivers a sleek, interactive, and personalised fan experience, marking a bold step forward in modernising LNB’s digital presence.
The project was introduced by La Source, who recognised the opportunity to reimagine the fan journey and brought Yellow Panther on board to deliver the technology vision. The platforms were built on Yellow Panther’s brand-new HUNT CMS, a headless, modular system designed for busy sports brands. With HUNT, LNB can now control both its website and app from one powerful platform, making content creation faster, workflows simpler, and the fan experience more seamless.
The new LNB platforms unify all leagues and tournaments under one roof, including the Betclic Élite, SuperCoupe, Leaders Cup, and the Young Star Game, giving fans a single, central hub to follow every match, event, and highlight.
Yellow Panther integrated LNB’s entire digital ecosystem to ensure the platforms weren’t just fan-first, but also operationally world-class. This included connecting:
- Ticket provider – creating a smooth purchase journey.
- Data provider – powering stats, matchups, and live performance feeds.
- Digital Asset Management (DAM) – organising and streamlining media assets.
- OTT platform – delivering live and on-demand basketball content.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) – one login across all digital touchpoints.
- CRM system – enabling smarter, more personalised communication with fans.
Key features Include:
- Head-to-head matchups and performance face-offs – enabling fans to compare their favourite players and teams in real time.
- Interactive fan polls – creating opportunities for community participation and real-time engagement.
- App-based quizzes – testing fans’ basketball knowledge and driving deeper involvement.
- A modern design – ensuring the LNB brand stands out with a fresh, dynamic look.
- Integrated shop functionality – making it easier for fans to browse and purchase official merchandise.
- Dedicated video section (Phase 2) – offering highlights, behind-the-scenes access, and documentary-style content.
- Personalisation and favourites – allowing fans to tailor their experience based on the teams and players they love.
These upgrades underline LNB’s commitment to delivering a digital-first fan experience that matches the fast-paced, high-energy world of professional basketball. By blending innovation with accessibility, the league is ensuring that supporters have more ways than ever to connect with the sport they love, wherever they are.
Stuart Cope, Founder at Yellow Panther, said, “We’re proud to have partnered with LNB to deliver platforms that don’t just showcase basketball but actively involve the fans. From real-time features to bold design, every element was built to reflect the energy of French basketball and the passion of its supporters.”
David Goncalves, Co-founder & COO at LaSource, added, “We’re proud to see the first milestone of this ambitious digital transformation come to life. The launch of the new LNB platforms marks the beginning of a common journey between the league, Yellow Panther, and LaSource. One that will continue as we help shape the right development strategy for the platforms moving forward.
This initiative is part of a broader transformation where the LNB is positioning itself at the centre of its ecosystem (empowering its clubs, partners, and media stakeholders) while building a more direct and engaging relationship with fans across all touchpoints: from in-venue experiences to owned digital platforms, social media, and broadcast.”
Yellow Panther’s technology expertise, vision and LNB’s ambition, this collaboration marks a fresh digital era for French basketball, giving fans more ways than ever to connect with the sport they love.
