Limelight Sports has won the £1m sports marketing contract to manage and promote
the London Youth Games for the next three years.
Limelight Sports won the contract following a competitive two-way pitch
having been responsible for promoting and running this year’s event held over
the summer.
The London Youth Games involve 25,000 young Londoners aged between 7 and 17
years from 32 London Boroughs and the City of London competing in 30 sports for
the Jubilee Trophy.
The event was inaugurated in 1977 as part of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee
celebrations.
The event adds to Limelight’s impressive client portfolio with previous and
ongoing projects including Nike RunLondon, Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile,
Swimathon, London Summer of Sport, the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge and
the inaugural Bloomberg Square Mile Relay.
