Liverpool have confirmed that New Balance will remain the club’s official kit supplier when the Premier League returns later this month, extending the pair’s relationship until July 31st 2020.

The original deal – signed in 2015 – was supposed to come to an end on 31st May, but following the suspension of the Premier League season, the pair have temporarily extended the partnership until the campaign is due to be completed this summer.

The club said in a statement: “Liverpool FC can confirm New Balance will continue as the club’s official kit supplier until July 31, 2020.

“It has been mutually agreed with New Balance, the club and incoming kit supplier Nike that the deal, which was due to come to an end on May 31, 2020, will be extended due to the Premier League being suspended as a result of COVID-19.

“Nike’s term as official kit supplier to the club, outfitting the men’s, women’s and Academy squads, as well as coaching staff and Liverpool FC Foundation, is due to commence on August 1, 2020.”

Liverpool named Nike as its new kit supplier in January 2020 after winning a court battle against New Balance in October 2019 which allowed the club to seek a new partner.
