Liverpool have announced a multi-year global partnership with Visit Maldives, naming it as their official tourist destination partner.
The agreement encompasses both the club’s men’s and women’s teams and aims to promote the Maldives as a premier tourist destination, showcasing its diverse activities, heritage, and scenic locations.
The partnership brings together two globally recognised brands, both dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences. This commitment extends from fans at Anfield to tourists in the Maldives.
Through this collaboration, fans will gain access to exclusive content, special promotions, and competitions offering unique prizes.
The club boasts over 200 million global followers and recorded nearly 12 billion views and 1.5 billion fan engagements last season, the highest in the Premier League.
Beyond destination promotion, Visit Maldives prioritises environmental protection, focusing on ocean conservation and sustainable tourism. Liverpool FC will support these initiatives through their sustainability programme, The Red Way.
Ben Latty, Chief Commercial Officer at Liverpool FC, said, “Together we share a passion for creating unforgettable experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.
“We also share a commitment for being the most sustainable we can be, whether that’s via our award-winning The Red Way programme or Visit Maldives raising concerns about preserving delicate underwater ecosystems.”
Mr Ibrahim Shiuree, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Visit Maldives, said, “Partnering with a club as iconic as Liverpool FC, who share our core values to drive positive change towards a more sustainable future, is a proud moment for Visit Maldives.“
